File name Y27-7161-0_360-1130_com_PLM.pdf File No. S360/1130-25(OS/DMS) Form Y27-7161-0 Program Logic IBM System/360 Operating System and 1130 Disk Monitor System System/360-1130 Data Transmission for FORTRAN Program Numbers 360S-LM-542 and 1130-LM-Oll This publication describes the internal logic of the processor-to-processor (PTOP) subroutines for FORTRAN IV. The PTOP subroutines enable a FORTRAN programmer to transmit data between a program being processed in the IBM System/360 Operating System and a program being processed in the IBM 1130 Disk Monitor System Version 2. The telecommunication capabilities provided are similar to those available to an Assembler Language programmer using the binary synchronous communications services of the Basic Telecommunications Access Method in the System/360 and the Synchronous Communications Adapter subroutine for point-to-point operations in the 1130. Although designed specifically for FORTRAN IV, the PTOP routines can also be used in an Assembler Language program .. This program logic manual is directed to the IBM customer engineer who is responsible for program main- tenance. It can be used to locate specific areas of the program, and it enables the reader to relate these areas to the corresponding program listings. Because program logic information is not necessary for program operation and use, distribution of this manual is restricted to persons with program-maintenance re- sponsibilities. Restricted Distribution RESTRICTED DISTRIBUTION: This publication is intended pri~1rily for use by IBM personnel involved in program design and maintenance. It may not be made available to others without the approval of local IBM management. First Edition (November 1968) This publication corresponds to Release 17 of the Operating System. Significant changes or additions to the specifications contained in this publication are continually being made. When using this publication in connection with the operation of IBM equipment, check the latest SRL Newsletter for revisions or contact the local IBM branch office. This publication was prepared for production using an IBM computer to update the text and to control the page and line format.
